UV CIPP: DN1500 Stormwater Pipe Rehabilitation
A DN1500 stormwater pipe with leakage, root intrusion, joint displacement, and corrosion was rehabilitated using UV-CIPP lining — eliminating the need for excavation while preserving full traffic access in a congested urban area.
A DN1500 reinforced concrete stormwater pipe in a congested urban area was found to have multiple structural issues, including leakage, root intrusion, joint displacement, and corrosion. Located next to a busy bus stop on a major arterial road, excavation was not an option. To avoid disrupting traffic and the surrounding environment, the client chose our UV-CIPP equipment and liners for a trenchless rehabilitation. The liner was inserted and cured in place, creating a seamless, jointless new pipe within the host structure. The project was completed without any surface disruption, effectively sealing all defects and extending the pipe's service life. This case highlights how UV-CIPP technology offers a reliable, low-impact solution for rehabilitating large-diameter pipelines in dense urban settings where conventional excavation is impractical.
